There is much to see in a city of 13.5 million inhabitants, but what strikes visitors the most is that it is a giant patchwork of cultures, religions and ethnic traditions. A city of superlatives like no other in the world. Japanese, Italians, Bolivians, Chinese, Koreans, you name it and there will be a group to be found in the city, integrated and contributing to its growth. On the tour we will pass the residential area of Higienopolis with its 50′s style apartment-buildings, the Pacaembu soccer Stadium.one of the highlights of the tour is the Ibirapuera Park with beautiful gardens and lakes. As we go along, enjoy the sights and see the people and think of their cultural contribution to the city – its restaurants, and streets devoted to this or that type of merchandise and a natural concentration of a certain ethnic group.

Visit – Museu do Futebol – Brazilian Soccer Museum

Brazilians going abroad are always asked about the latest football rising starts. For many decades, names like Pelé, Garrincha, Kaká and Ronaldinho are known to football fans throughout the world. Children in the Sahara desert wear a Ronaldo shirt, at sophisticated bars at Chelsea, football contracts and who is going where, is the subject of much discussion. Opened in 2008, the São Paulo Museu do Futebol / Football Museum brings forth the idea to play with the public’s emotion but history and entertainment are also part of the package. The museum uses the Mario de Carvalho Football stadium, a.k.a. Pacaembu. The exposition is a trip down memory lane, each room carries a theme, like #10 with the cheering of the supporters, or #13 for the 5 time world championships and #14 a homage to the 2 greatest stars ever – Pelé and Garrincha, each having their own way in and outside the field but that took onlookers to ecstasy for their faints, passes and kicks with a sure address – GOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL!
